Helping You Go Green

Eco-travelling has certainly become a growing demand and now it's never been easier to make more sustainable choices. At the centre of many travel and hospitality companies, sustainability is at the core centre with many implementing eco-friendly measures within the offering of their products. Here you will find some “Going Green” methods for you to consider when travelling.
Visit an eco-friendly destination that encourages you to use their public transport, walking or even cycling. You may find they have local food markets or volunteer programmes for you to get involved. Many destinations promote “living like a local”, introducing tighter measures to reduce their use of plastic materials.
Either fly with an eco-conscious airline or even fly direct where possible. A number of airlines now provide the option to offset your CO2 emissions, reducing plastic on-board and making more conscious decisions on the fuel they use. We could also help by packing lighter and using re-usable bottles.

Stay in either a sustainable hotel or an eco-lodge, who have been certified and reduce their impact on the environment through green best-practises including reducing waste, preserving energy and reducing their water usage.
Greener cruises: Many cruise lines are now introducing more environmentally friendly vessels to their fleet by combining diesel and electric motors, providing much less noise and lower emissions and being powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). Another way or reducing their plastic usage is by using water purification systems that use solar panels to heat water.
Greener food options: Worldwide travel companies and hotels are continuing to research how they can reduce emissions from food. Several key areas include using local produce, reducing food waste and promoting more of a variety on vegetarian and vegan options, of which typically have a lower carbon footprint.
Where its big or small, we can all do our bit to keep travel as green as possible and we are on-hand to offer recommendations. Please speak to us to find out more.
